The JVC KW-ADV793 is an exciting package for the money.  This Double Din DVD receiver gives you a 7” motorized slide-down detachable face screen that comes with its own carrying case.  A detachable face Double Din video deck is unusual.  Most screens do not remove.   The deck comes with a remote control.  It has excellent screen quality with a proximity sensor, a feature that automatically lights up the screen as your hand approaches so you can see the icons and can operate the touch screen, but then when you move away, the screen lighting dims, reducing light and glare at night.  Background or wallpaper lighting has 12 colors to choose from.  Your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPod connects through a rear cable USB that can be routed to a convenient location in the dash like the glove box or dash pocket.  Audio playback is USB direct.  Audio video playback from the iPod/iPhone requires the optional adapter cable, KS-U30.  With the adapter cable, music album art is automatically transferred to the screen for the album you’re playing.  You have your choice of controlling the iPod functions through the full color touch screen or you can choose to retain control of the functions on the iPod itself.  This JVC Arsenal video unit comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
