Type-R 12″ & 15″ Subwoofers
Alpine Type-R subwoofers will add huge bass to your entire car audio system. They pack an astounding 1000 watts RMS (500 per coil) with a peak power of 3,000 watts, so make sure to choose a strong amp that can handle the load. Alpine Subwoofers come with dual over-sized voice coils that offer wiring flexibility so you can alter your system as you feel fit. Alpine subwoofers are built with Kevlar reinforced pulp cone with HAMRS Santoprene rubber surround. Type-S Subwoofers Alpine had to completely redesign their top-of-the-line Type-R Subwoofers because the new Type-S Alpine Subwoofers were so powerful that even at a mid-level range, these Alpine subs really blast! The new 6-layer (Dual 4Ω) and 5-Layer (Dual 2Ω) coils are wound on a spiral-cut aluminum former. The massive coil, along with the black anodized coating, provides these woofers the thermal mass and cooling capacity to achieve a full 500W of RMS power handling. Peak power is 1500W. The new FEA-Optimized Motor Structure together with our revolutionary HAMR Suspension Design gives the new Type-S Subwoofers the highest X-max and SPL output in the category. We carry the Type-S in 10″, 12″ and 15″ or Model Numbers SWS-10D2, SWS-10D4, SWS-12D2, SWS-12D4, SWS15D2, SWS015D4.

 Type-E (Shallow) Subwoofers The Alpine Type-E shallow fit subwoofers may be able to fit into smaller enclosures with only a 4-3/4″ top mounting depth, but they squeeze a ton of power into that small space. They have 250 watts RMS power and an amazing 750 watts peak power, so even for shallow subs they really pack a punch! They are built from the same strong Kevlar design as their upper level counterparts, with enough extra venting to maximize air flow through your speaker so that heat dissipates and increases the sub’s durability. The Type-E Alpine subwoofers are a perfect addition to an already powerful system that still has some extra small spaces to fill, or for those budget conscious buyers who want real power that doesn’t break the bank. We carry Alpine Type-S Subwoofers in 10″ and 12″ varieties, or Model Numbers SWE-10S4, SWE-12S4.
