National Auto Sound & Security carries a wide selection of car cd players & car audio electronics to fit almost every vehicle. We have been in the car stereo business in Kansas City since 1964. In dash car stereo receivers have changed a lot in the last few years. Now “Mp3 Car Stereo” or “Ipod Car Stereo” is the norm. All car audio players we carry come with at least a 3.5mm aux input jack and most have the USB input so you can plug in any external audio device you have like your smart phone and listen to your music your way.

Many car audio Cd players now have direct iPod/iphone input and control:  iPod car audio. This means you simply plug in your usb iPod cable directly into the car stereo. It charges your iPod/iPhone + the playlist, song & artist can appear across the screen. You have control of the iPod/iphone from the car stereo itself if you want to, being able to change folders, artist, songs, etc. And there is no special cable to buy.

Don’t want or need a CD player? Never use them.  No worry.  Many decks today are “mechless decks” meaning they have no cd mechanism.  They are designed to link directly to your smart phone or iPod and have great displays and search ability so you can select and play your music. See the Kenwood KIV-701 or KIV-BT901

If you have any other brand or type of portable audio device, the car cd player that comes with USB input will usually accept your thumb drive or USB flash drive. Just plug in your USB flash drive and the folder will appear across the screen. You choose your song and go! Car Audio USB!
